Kelly Heath is the Director of Global Education in the Office of Overseas Programs at WashU, where she has served since August 2025. In this role, she oversees the daily operations of the office and provides strategic leadership for education abroad initiatives supporting undergraduate study abroad in the College of Arts & Sciences, as well as core administrative processes for McKelvey students. She advises students on non-affiliated programs such as summer petitions for alternative programs, summer study in a student’s home country, or leave of absences.

Kelly holds an M.Ed. in Higher Education with a specialization in Student Affairs Administration from Loyola University Chicago and earned her B.A. from Bates College.

With more than 20 years of experience in education abroad, Kelly has held leadership roles at Webster University and Loyola University Chicago. She is committed to expanding access to high-quality international experiences for students and has contributed to the field through mentoring programs and conference presentations on topics like education abroad advising, student-athlete support, and curriculum integration.

International experiences have played an important role in Kelly’s personal and professional journey. During college, she studied abroad in Italy, Spain, and Mexico and later returned to Spain to teach English as a second language for two years. She continues to enjoy learning about new places and cultures and finds it especially rewarding to help students pursue their own study abroad goals.

In her free time, Kelly enjoys tennis and soccer, cooking international dishes, reading, and traveling (of course!).
